Thanks to Shelli Norelli, owner of "Dem Things", for providing a campaign fundraiser for Louie Minor, Belton's home grown son. The fundraiser was on October 24th, at the Sarsaparilla Saloon & Cafe, 106 E. Central Ave in Belton. The venue was great and the desserts were delicious! Irene Andrews, a previous candidate for Bell Country Commissioner Precinct 1, introduced Louie Minor to the crowd.

Do you know a Bell County senior that is headed off to college this fall, or perhaps a currently enrolled college student? Bell County Texas Democratic Women are offering 4 $500 scholarships to Bell County Democrats in an effort to assist them in their pursuit of higher education. The deadline is, however, fast approaching. Applications must be postmarked by April 26th.

This year BCTDW is offering four Scholarships for Women and one is open to anyone. Each of the scholarships is worth $500.00!
Congratulations to the following individuals who are recipients of the 2013 Texas Democratic Women's Star Award which were handed out at their convention in Austin on February 23.
One morning three Bell County women were sharing ideas and opinions over several cups of coffee, and since these women were very bright and quite discerning politically, they arrived at quite a novel idea.
